I Turned Hate Mail Into a Handmade Journal Series

BEFORE

I received anonymous hate letters when I spoke out at a local council meeting about environmental issues. At first, I felt crushed. I kept them in a drawer, unsure what to do.

AFTER

Instead of letting that negativity fester, I shredded the letters and used the recycled pulp to handcraft journal paper. I now make beautiful notebooks and write poetry in them — turning someone else’s darkness into my creative light. Every page is literally built from resistance.
